The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is proud to partner with the United States Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force in a coordinated effort to locate and apprehend dangerous fugitives who threaten the safety of our communities. Through this collaboration, the Sheriff’s Office has assigned one experienced deputy and one highly trained K-9 team to work alongside federal, state, and local partners. This dedicated assignment strengthens the region’s ability to track, locate, and safely apprehend offenders who cross jurisdictional lines. By combining local knowledge with federal resources and investigative expertise, the partnership enhances public safety, improves information sharing, and ensures that those who evade justice are brought to account.
