In addition to these responsibilities, three Deputies are assigned to the United States Secret Service Task Force, where they work collaboratively to investigate financial crimes and fraud-related offenses at the local, regional, and federal levels. This partnership enhances the division’s ability to address sophisticated financial crimes that impact both individuals and public institutions.
Investigators within the division work closely with local, county, state, and federal partners to ensure thorough and impartial investigations. Whether addressing crimes involving vulnerable populations, maintaining internal accountability, supporting other agencies during conflict cases, or investigating complex financial crimes, the division remains committed to integrity, transparency, and professionalism.
Through diligent investigative work and strong interagency collaboration, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division upholds the rule of law while protecting the rights and safety of the community it serves.
Drug Task Force
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force serves as a vital, multi-jurisdictional force committed to protecting the safety and well-being of the communities it serves. The Task Force is a collaborative partnership representing seven communities across Rockingham County, unified by a shared mission to combat illegal drug activity and its impact on families and neighborhoods.
Comprised of sixteen highly trained Task Force Officers and Deputies, the Task Force brings together specialized experience, investigative expertise, and a coordinated approach to enforcement. Supporting these efforts are five dedicated K-9 teams, whose skills greatly enhance the Task Force’s ability to detect, disrupt, and dismantle drug trafficking operations.
The Drug Task Force operates through strong partnerships with local, county, and federal law enforcement agencies. These collaborations extend beyond county lines and include coordinated efforts with agencies across the borders of Massachusetts and Maine. This regional cooperation allows the Task Force to effectively address the complex and evolving nature of drug-related crime, recognizing that criminal activity does not adhere to jurisdictional boundaries.
Through teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to public service, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard communities and reduce the harm caused by illegal drugs.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division plays a critical role in maintaining accountability, public trust, and public safety throughout the county. The Division is overseen by one Lieutenant and one Sergeant and is staffed by four highly trained Deputies who bring extensive investigative experience and professionalism to their assignments.
The Investigation Division is responsible for a wide range of complex and sensitive cases. These include general criminal investigations; investigations of crimes occurring on county property; Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC); conflict cases referred to from outside agencies; Internal Affairs investigations; incidents occurring within the county jail; and narcotics-related investigations. This broad scope of responsibility requires a high level of discretion, technical skill, and coordination.
