The administrative Services Division consists of:

Rockingham County Communications Center

Sheriffs Office Information Technology Department

Sheriffs Office Radio Shop

Serves as terminal agency coordinator for the county and as training coordinator for the Department.

Designs, coordinates and assesses the needs of the dispatch center.

Serves as liaison to the New Hampshire Department of Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Performs critical examinations of fugitive matters with extradition authority.
-
Acts as management commander at critical events.

Coordinates mass casualty response procedures.

Directs the recruitment and hiring process for all dispatcher positions and conducts background checks on new employees.
Communications & Radio Support Shop
The Sheriff’s Office Radio Shop is dedicated to maintaining the vital communication links that connect our personnel across the county. In the high-stakes environment of public safety, reliable radio communication is a lifesaver, and our technicians ensure that the agency’s "voice" never fails.
The Radio Shop is responsible for a wide array of mission-critical systems and services:

County-Wide Simulcast System: Expert maintenance and continuous upgrades to our 3-channel simulcast radio network, ensuring clear and consistent coverage throughout our jurisdiction.

Microwave Backhaul Infrastructure: Managing the high-speed microwave links that connect all remote radio sites to the core network, ensuring system resilience and uptime.

Fleet Outfitting & Maintenance: Professional installation and repair of mobile radios and emergency lighting/siren equipment for the entire Sheriff’s Office vehicle fleet.

Communications Hardware: Precise programming and maintenance of all mobile (vehicle) and portable (handheld) radios, as well as the specialized radio consoles used by our dispatchers.

State-Wide Interoperability: Representing the agency at state-level interoperability meetings to ensure our systems remain compatible with regional and state partners for coordinated emergency response.
From the dispatch console to the deputy’s handheld radio, the Radio Shop provides the technical expertise that keeps our team connected when it matters most.

10 Modern Dispatch Consoles: Ergonomically designed for high-intensity, 24-hour operations.

Pro Suite CAD/RMS: Our newly implemented (Fall of 2025) Computer-Aided Dispatch and Records Management System enhances incident documentation and allows for seamless interagency coordination.

At full capacity, our center is powered by 18 full-time dispatchers supported by multiple-call personnel. We understand that the nature of emergency services is demanding, which is why we prioritize a supportive, "close-knit family" environment.

24/7 Coverage: We operate around the clock with day, evening, and midnight shifts.

Work-Life Balance: We utilize a rotating schedule (specifically for evening shifts) that includes every third Friday through Monday off, ensuring our team can recharge and enjoy time with their families.

Information Technology (IT) Department
The Sheriff’s Office Information Technology Department is the backbone of our agency’s modern law enforcement operations. Tasked with managing a sophisticated digital infrastructure, the IT team ensures that our deputies and dispatchers have the reliable, high-speed tools necessary to protect and serve our community.
Our IT professionals oversee the entire lifecycle of the agency's technology, including:

Public Safety Systems: Management of Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS), ensuring seamless data flow between the office and the field.

Mobile Support: Deployment and maintenance of Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) for cruisers, providing deputies with real-time information at their fingertips.

Infrastructure & Security: Maintaining secure agency-wide networking and providing comprehensive cybersecurity training to defend against modern digital threats.

Critical Communications: Support for dispatch workstations and digital communications recording equipment to ensure every call for help is documented and preserved.
